Saudi Arabia aims to become an A-rated country for entertainment and tourism by 2030. This assertion was made by Saudi General Entertainment Authority CEO Faisal Bafarat, yesterday at Global Dialogues for Happiness event at the World Government Summit in Dubai, UAE.

Bafarat also said that his country plans not only to re-open cinemas after a 39-year bad but also in the plans in the conservative Arab oil state, is to become featured on the global map for festivals, sports events, and family entertainment.

Continuous reforms being driven by 32-year-old Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, considered the mastermind of Vision 2030, has seen the country push for more rights for women and reforms in its entertainment and tourism sector.

In September last year, women were finally allowed to drive themselves and just recently, they can now watch football games in a stadium alongside their male counterparts.
